At Raven Rose, I specialise in removing unwanted cosmetic tattoos using safe and effective equipments and products. Currently the only clinic in Leeds able to offer 3 removal methods in order to tackle the complex nature of cosmetic tattoo removal.
I can only carry out Laser treatments on Brow Tattoos (£80) and Scalp Micropigmentation (£100). A patch test is required at least 7 days prior to your 1st session.
Pro's: Quickest treatment time and minimally invasive.
Con's: Can cause the ink to go darker or oxidise, due to the makeup of Permanent Makeup Inks the rainbow effect may occur which means Yellow, Orange and Red colours may be left behind. Laser doesn't target and remove skin stain.
Please refer to my preferred protocol under the FAQ's
No patch test required however an allergy to Aloe Vera excludes you from having this treatment. The solution is applied to the area with a tattoo machine, this enables the solution to bring the ink up and out of the skin.
Pro's: Somewhat invasive, reduces scarring, lightens all colours including skin stain, Full removal can be achieved and can be used on Brow tattoos, Lip Blush and Scalp Micropigmentation.
Con's: Can't be used on Eyeliner, Can make the ink appear darker before it lightens.
EYELINER ONLY.
No patch test required.
The solution is a little more aggressive and is applied to the area with a tattoo machine, this enables the solution to break down and dissolve the ink that is present in the skin.
Pro's: Can reduce any scarring that may have occurred during your original Permanent Makeup treatment. Can be used on Brow tattoos, Lip Blush and Scalp Micropigmentation, eyeliner and small body tattoos and lightens skin stain.
Con's: A minimum of 12 weeks healing time between treatments.

You must be 18 and over for ALL treatments offered at Raven Rose.
All removal services target and remove the ink differently. Botched Ink (for cosmetic tattoos only) disturbs the pigment briging it up and out of the skin and targets all colours including skin stain but can't be used on eyeliner or on those that suffer with an Aloe Vera allergy. Laser disperses the pigment and can't detect orange, red, yellow colours or remove skin stain and can't be carried out on Eyeliner/ lip liner tattoos. MM Removal can be used on all areas of the body, and works to dissolve the ink while the glycolic acid helps resurface the area however this is only reserved for eyeliner removal and for those that have an allergy to Aloe Vera.
If you haven't had any removal treatments before then the ideal plan is to undergo at least 3 saline treatments, this targets ALL colours, then finish with a laser session to target any carbon (dark ink) that remains in the skin.
If you've had laser removal elsewhere saline is the only and best option I'm willing to offer as I only carry out a maximum of 2 laser sessions to avoid further discolouration and oxidising of the ink.
This varies person to person, ink type, age of the cosmetic tattoo, the original artists handedness, number of top ups, your skin health, adhereance to aftercare and consistency with the treatment affects how quickly you'll see results. Please note this isn't a quick process. 8 weeks minimum healing time is required between appointments and treaments are adjusted according tot he outcome of the previous removal session.
- Avoid caffeine
- Avoid blood thinning medication i.e.ibuprofen
- Ensure you've adhered to the pre- appointment information you'll receive in your consultation form i.e. avoid skincare products/ facials etc
Botched Ink Saline- First 2 sessions 8 weeks apart, third session after 12 weeks.
MM Chemical Removal- Every 12 weeks or once redness subsides.
Laser- Following the above methods one laser session at the end should suffice. If you've had laser elsewhere and left with orange, red, yellow and pink, no additional laser treatments will be carried out.
If you have had a bad cosmetic tattoo treatment then a Botched Ink or MM Chemical Removal treatment can be carried out up to 48 hours after the permanent makeup treatment or before scabs begin to form. The quicker you act the better the result as the skin is open and enables the solution to penetrate the skin and disrupt the pigment. I strongly advise you refrain from attempting any DIY removal treatments to avoid scarring and unnecessary bleeding. I can tell and will not carry out the treatment until at least 12 weeks have passed if this is the case.
I do not supply/ apply numbing cream however you're welcome to purchase it from your local pharmacy and apply it BEFORE your appointment following manufacturers instructions. Please note: Numbing agents create a slight barrier between the laser and the ink which does affect the effectiveness of the treatment. It is also your responsibility to patch testthe numbing cream a week before your treatment (not on the area to be treated) incase you have a reaction to it.
